November 5, 2007 Ridder Earns Academic Honor Southern Illinois University Edwardsville forward Bob Ridder (Quincy) was named to the 2007 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District V College Division Men's Soccer third team. The Academic All-District team includes all NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA school from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota and parts of Canada. They are selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America. Ridder, a junior who holds a 3.25 grade point average in Accounting at SIUE, helped the Cougars to a 10-3-3 record this season. Ridder is tied as the team's second-leading scorer with four goals and five assists. He recorded game-winning goals against Southern Indiana and Bellarmine. -siue cougars- |
