October 7, 2007 No. 22 Cougars Defeat Missouri-Rolla           EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. - Matt Harris took a rebound from Bob Ridder and buried it at 77:29 as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville went on to a 2-1 victory Sunday over Missouri-Rolla at Korte Stadium.           The Cougars, now 8-2-1 overall and 8-1-1 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play, started in the hole against the Miners. Missouri-Rolla scored on an own goal at 10:15.           The Miners took just three shots in the game and could not control SIUE's offensive pressure. The Cougars took 14 shots in the game, including three each from Randy Roy, Kevin Bielicki and Ridder.           SIUE had tied the game at 62:07 when Mike Jones connected off a rebound at 62:07. It was his second goal of the season.           Greg Crook collected the victory in goal. He had two saves in the game. UMR goalkeeper Mike McNamee posted four saves in the loss, which dropped the Miners to 3-9-1 overall and 0-8 in the GLVC.           SIUE has now won three straight games and next faces Truman State at Korte Stadium Friday.
