No. 21 Cougars Quiet UW-Parkside
          EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Dustin Attarian scored two goals Friday as No. 21-ranked Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men's soccer dominated UW-Parkside 5-0 at Korte Stadium.
          Attarian picked up goals No. 5 and 6 while Matt Harris scored his first two goals of the season. Adam Lanter recorded his first of the season. The Cougars have now won 12 consecutive games over UW-Parkside, dating back to the 1998 season.
          The win improved SIUE's record to 4-1-1 overall and 4-0-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. UW-Parkside fell to 6-3 and 2-3 in the GLVC.
          SIUE had just 11 shots against the Rangers but made the most of each one.
          Attarian opened up the scoring barrage at 5:17 on an assist from Cougar defender Mike Jones.
          Harris put SIUE up 2-0 by halftime off a cross from Attarian at 28:33.
          SIUE goalkeeper Greg Crook recorded four saves in the net for the Cougars. Scott Meyer picked up a pair of saves in the final 18:05 of the game.
          Attarian punched in his second goal at 66:11 off a cross from Tim Weir.
          Lanter's goal was a bullet from 15 yards out at 86:46 from Patrick Brazill. Harris used a Lanter pass at 88:22 to beat UWP goalkeeper Jamie Lieberman.
          SIUE returns to Korte Stadium Sunday at 2:30 when it entertains Lewis.
