September 4, 2007 SIUE Begins GLVC Schedule           EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. --The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men's soccer team begins it Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule this weekend with matches against Kentucky Wesleyan and Southern Indiana.           When asked for his thoughts about the upcoming home openers, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville head coach Ed Huneke was short and to the point. "This is the real season now."           With a handful of scrimmages and a visit to Christian Brothers University under their belt, the soccer Cougars feel they are prepared to begin season play.           "Our schedule is set up to prepare us for this time of year," said Huneke.           The Cougars, the preseason favorite for the GLVC Championship, fell to Christian Brothers 1-0 last week. Kevin Bielicki and Benny Jeffery split two shots on goal for the Cougars.           Friday's match against Kentucky Wesleyan is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday's start time against Southern Indiana is 2:30 p.m.                     -siue cougars-
