August 9, 2007 2007 SIUE Men's Soccer Schedule SIUE Men's Soccer Announces 2007 Schedule           EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men's soccer will have eight regular season home games in its final season of NCAA Division II play.           Once again, the Cougars will face every team in the 14-team Great Lakes Valley Conference. The GLVC season begins at home on Friday, Sept. 7, against Kentucky Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m.           SIUE's regular season opener is a non-conference match at Christian Brothers (Tenn.) on Friday, Aug. 31, at 7 p.m. The only other non-conference game for the Cougars is Fri., Oct. 12, against Truman in a 7 p.m. home contest.           SIUE is coming off a third consecutive season of advancing to the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional Championship game. The Cougars completed the 2006 season with a 15-4-3 record.           "This will be another year of opponents really gunning for us. We'll have another target on our back," said SIUE Coach Ed Huneke. "We need to respect everyone while we build towards the postseason."           SIUE, which will begin playing a full NCAA Division I schedule in the 2008 season, has advanced to the NCAA Tournament in four out of the last five seasons.           Season tickets are available for Cougar women's and men's soccer games to be played on Bob Guelker Field at Ralph Korte Stadium.
