Cougars Silences Indianapolis 2-0
         EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The No. 9-ranked Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Cougars defeated the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds 2-0 Friday night at Korte Field.
         SIUE who improved its record to 8-3-3 overall and 8-2-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference outshot Indianapolis 23-3.
         Mike Banner put SIUE on the board with an unassisted goal with 10:36 left to play in the first half.
         The Cougars added another goal by Kevin Thibodeau who received an assist from Dustin Attarian after 9:21 into the second half.
         SIUE's strong offense was paired with an equally strong defensive effort.
         Nicholas Frasca earned his second shutout of the season for the Cougars; it was also the fifth shutout for the team this season.
         The Cougars play again at home Sunday with a kickoff scheduled for noon against Saint Joseph's College.
