Rockhurst Upsets Cougars 1-0
         Carl Baker blasted a shot from 30 yards out Friday as Rockhurst upset No. 21-ranked Southern Illinois University Edwardsville 1-0 in men's college soccer action.
         Baker's goal came at 80:03 when both teams were getting increasingly frustrated with its scoring chances as well as the weather. There was a 30-minutes delay in the first half due to lightning in the area.
         It was the first regular season GLVC loss for the Cougars in nearly four seasons. The crowd of 650 at Korte Stadium watched as the Cougars outshot Rockhurst 12-4 but couldn't find the back of the net for the second straight game.
         Baker unleashed his shot which was misdirected by an SIUE defender only a few feet away and then away from the hands of SIUE goalkeeper Nicholas Frasca.
         SIUE, 3-3-3 overall and 3-2-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, hopes to return to the winning column Sunday when it entertains Drury in a 2:30 p.m. battle at Korte Stadium.
