Cougars Blank Bellarmine 3-0
         EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - No. 11-ranked Southern Illinois University Edwardsville extended its record to 2-1-2 with a 3-0 victory over Bellarmine in men's soccer action.
         A spirited crowd of 1,055 saw the Cougars post a second straight Great Lakes Valley Conference win. Victor Pacheco recorded the assist on all three goals on Friday. He now has 27 for his career and needs two more to tie John Carenza for the all-time lead.
         John Matthews made it look easy with a goal at 3:45. He headed the ball in off a free kick from Pacheco.
         Mike Banner gave the Cougars a 2-0 lead at 50:37 with a pass in the box from Pacheco.
         Tim Weir scored SIUE's third goal at 83:38 off a missed shot.
         Greg Crook picked up the victory in goal for the Cougars. He collected six saves.
         SIUE returns to action Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and will face Northern Kentucky.
