Cougars Roll Past Missouri Southern
         Pete Cacciatore scored two goals and had an assist as SIUE topped the visiting Missouri Southern Lions in men's soccer Friday night 5-1 at Korte Stadium.
         SIUE improves its record to 3-2 while Missouri Southern dips to 0-4.
         Addae Rique opened the scoring for SIUE at 9:59 after he took a Cacciatore pass and buried the ball behind the Lions goalkeeper for his third goal of the year.
         Cacciatore scored his first goal, which was ultimately deemed the game winner, at 24:34 off a pretty cross from Victor Pacheco. Pacheco scored a goal of his own at 34:35 off a cross from Brian Higgins.
         Cal Thomas headed a ball into the back of the net off a Justin Pierce corner kick at 36:11 to give the Cougars a 4-0 lead. Cacciatore finished the Cougars' scoring at 57:29 with his second goal of the game. Missouri Southern's Adam Skiermont denied SIUE of a shutout with a goal at 59:58.
         SIUE outshot the Lions 26-7.
         SIUE will be in action next Friday when it travels to Quincy to open Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
