Lewis projected 2002 winner

Lewis University, with seven first place votes, finished atop the
Great Lakes Valley Conference men's soccer pre-season coach's poll for
2002. The Flyers garnered 106 total points a good distance ahead of
SIU-Edwardsville, 97, and Wisconsin-Parkside, 96.
Defending champion Lewis has won six GLVC titles and four since
1994. SIU-Edwardsville lost to Lewis in the GLVC championship game last
year, but came back to top the Flyers in the NCAA Division II tournament.
Wisconsin-Parkside has made the league's Final Four each year since it
joined the GLVC and was the 2000 champion.
