Men’s Golf Signs Brasher
         EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. - Dillon Brasher (Roxana) has signed a national letter of intent to compete for the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men’s golf team starting in the Fall 2006.
         “I feel very fortunate to have signed Dillon,” said SIUE men’s golf coach Mark Marcuzzo. “He has worked extremely hard on his game. He will be an impact player right out the gate.”
         Brasher was a state qualifier last season finishing tied for seventh in class A. He was in 31st place after a first round 78, then he followed that up with a second round 72 to finish in the top 10.
         “It is nice to have players from the area,” said Marcuzzo. “I think our program is going to continue to get better because of talent we are getting. Hopefully, we can take them to next level.”
         The Cougars will be back in action on Mar. 26-27, 2006, for the Bellarmine Invitational in Louisville, Ky.
