October 1, 2005 Women’s Cross Country Finish 16th at Loyola The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women’s cross country team finished in 16th place at the 33rd Annual Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Saturday. The Cougars finished with 453 points as Ferris State won the race with 102. The Cougars' top finisher was Heather Zipparro who placed 63rd with a mark of 20 minutes, 18 seconds in the 5,000 meter race. Michelle Meador came in 80th place with a time of 20:39, and Kelly Flounders finished 100th with a mark of 21:20. SIUE hosts the Illinois/Missouri Border Wars next Saturday at the SIUE Cross Country Course. The event begins at 10 a.m. -siue cougars- |
