October 28, 2002 Cougars Prepare for Regionals        After a fourth-place finish in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships, the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women’s cross country team will participate in the NCAA Regional on Nov. 9, which will be hosted by Grand Valley State University.        “If the women run to their potential, I think they can be one of the top teams in the region,” said Coach Darryl Frerker.        SIUE must finish in the top five as a team to move on to the NCAA Nationals. The top two individual finishers in the meet not on a qualifying team also will participate in the national championships.        At last weekend’s GLVC Championships, Amanda Bozue (Joliet) set the SIUE 6,000 meter women’s record with a time of 22 minutes, 55 seconds. Her performance was good for 12th overall at the league meet.               -siue cougars-
