September 10, 2007 SIUE Men's Cross Country Finishes Fourth at Bradley Invite           EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men's cross country team placed fourth at the Bradley Invitational over the weekend.           Finishing with a time of 25:46, Erik Steffens (Moline) was able to break the tape before the other 125 runners as the event winner. "Erik competed very well for us," said head coach David Astraukas.           Almost a minute later, Steve Werths (Granite City) crossed the finish line, placing 17th during the meet.           "Steve almost had a minute improvement on his personal record in the 8K. That's good way to start the season," said Astraukas.           Other finishers for the Cougars include Shawn Dillard (Granite City) placing 27th with a time of 27:05 and Sean Gosewisch (Lockport) placing 37th with a time of 27:34.           The Cougars run next in the Eastern Illinois Panther Open at Charleston on Friday at 5 p.m.                     -siue cougars-
