March 12, 2008 MSU-Mankato Boxscore Minnesota State-Mankato Outlasts Cougars           PHOENIX, Ariz. - The final game of the spring break road trip for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville ended up a slugfest.           Minnesota State-Mankato rallied from five runs down to catch the Cougars and win a 17-16, 10-inning marathon. The four-hour game featured 14 pitchers with 10 from the winning Mavericks.           SIUE fell to 6-5 overall and next faces Lewis in Romeoville on Saturday to open the Great Lakes Valley Conference season. The Mavericks improved to 4-7.           The Cougars pounded out 19 hits against Minnesota State-Manktao. Daniel Thomson led the way with four hits and four RBIs.           Jay Bresnahan doubled home two runs in the bottom of the 10th inning for the victory.                   -siue cougars-
