November 17, 2006 SIUE Baseball Adds Pitcher for 2007 Season         EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville baseball team has added Luke Vine to the 2007 roster.         Vine, a native of Logandale, Queensland, Australia, was 7-3 last season with a 2.30 earned run average at Illinois Valley College. He struck out 99 batters and walked 16 in 74 innings pitched.         SIUE assistant coach Tony Stoecklin said 6-foot-4-inch, 210-pound Vine throws in the 89-92 miles per hour range with his fastball.         "Luke will come in and compete for a top spot in the starting rotation," said Stoecklin.         SIUE begins the 2007 season March 10 against Saint Joseph's College in a Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup that will be played in Savannah, Ga.                 -siue cougars-
