June 19, 2006 SIUE Baseball Adds Wiggs for 2007         (EDWARDSVILLE, IL.) The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville baseball team has added Ryan Wiggs (Belleville) for the 2007 roster.         The Cougars are coming off their fourth 40-win season in school history. It was SIUE's best finish at 40-19-1 since the 2001 season. SIUE advanced to the NCAA Tournament and was the final Great Lakes Valley Conference team standing in the championships.         Wiggs comes to SIUE from Belleville East High School where he played shortstop and second base. Wiggs held a .451 batting average with 55 hits, 31 RBIs, 37 runs scored, 12 doubles, 11 stolen bases, and a .507 on base percentage last season for the Lancers.         "He's a good ballplayer," said SIUE baseball coach Gary Collins. He only struck out nine times last year and he has a great on base percentage."         Wiggs, a second team All-Southwestern Conference selection his senior season, hit .341 as a junior with 31 hits, eight doubles, 12 RBIs and one home run.                 -siue cougars-
