Seibert Named GLVC Pitcher of the Week
SIUE senior righthander Nick Seibert (Worden) hurled 8 2/3 innings of shutout baseball and picked up a victory and a save to earn Pitcher of the Week honors in the GLVC.
Seibert picked up a crucial save by pitching one scoreless inning as SIUE upended league-leader UMSL, 8-7, on Wednesday. He came back to throw 7.2 scoreless innings as the Cougars posted a 1-0 triumph at Lewis. For the week, he collected seven strikeouts and gave up just four walks to go along with a 0.00 ERA.
