Carson-Newman senior outfielder Heath Mason is the ABCA/NCAA Division II Position Player of the Year and the Rawlings Division II Player of the Year. Mason hit .402 with 22 doubles, 20 home runs and 80 RBI (a slugging percentage of .753). He's been invited to participate in the home run challenge at the Division I College World Series in Omaha. Carson-Newman won the South Atlantic Conference regular-season title and played in the NCAA tournament.

Kutztown junior pitcher Glenn Woolard is the ABCA/NCAA Division II Pitcher of the Year. He was the winning pitcher in Kutztown's opening win at the Division II Baseball Championship. Woolard is now 14-2, two saves and a 2.62 ERA. He struck out 148 batters in 106 innings.

The American Baseball Coaches Association's All-America committee consists of eight head baseball coaches from the eight Division II baseball regions. Lewis head coach Irish O'Reilly is the chairman.
