GLVC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Quincy's Brady Matousek went 5-for-10 and drove in six runs in four games
played to earn GLVC player of the week honors. Matousek, a sophomore from
Milan, Ill., also scored five runs for the Hawks, who went 3-1 in four
games. Matousek played a crucial role in the Hawks' 7-6 win over Southern
Indiana Sunday by hitting a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth
inning to tie the game at 6-6. The Hawks would eventually win the game
7-6. Matousek's homer was his fourth of the season. He is batting .269,
with a .981 fielding percentage at first base.
