Several Cougars Named Academic All-GLVC
(EDWARDSVILLE, Ill.) The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) has named several members of spring and winter sports teams at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Academic All-Conference.
The Cougars listed below who were on squad lists for men's basketball, women's basketball, softball, men's track and field, women's track and field and men's tennis earned this honor by excelling in the classroom as well as on the playing field.
To qualify for the honor a student-athlete must be a freshman or first-year transfer who attained a grade point average of 3.40 or higher during the fall semester. For a returning student-athlete, one qualifies for the honor if he or she has earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or has attained a grade point average of at least 3.40 in each of the preceding two semesters.
