Easterley Named Event Management and Operations Coordinator EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Intercollegiate Athletics has named Samantha Easterley to the newly-created position of Event Management and Operations Coordinator. Easterley, originally of Belleville, will oversee game and event management for all of SIUE's 18 sports programs as well as serve as a point of contact for visiting teams, officials, security, promotions, spirit groups, ticket operations and the band. She also is responsible for the supervision and training of staff members for event management and promotions at SIUE athletics events. Easterley has been a graduate assistant in SIUE Athletics for the past two seasons, serving as an event supervisor for numerous events as well as organizing and implementing various marketing and promotional events for SIUE Athletics. A member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), Easterley graduated from SIUE with a bachelor of science in community health education in 2006 and with a master's degree in kinesiology/sports management in 2008. She played four seasons for the SIUE softball team from 2001 to 2005, all of which competed in the NCAA Tournament. -siue cougars- |
