Several Cougars Named Academic All-GLVC
(EDWARDSVILLE, Ill.) Honored as the best in and out of the classrooms, 74 Southern Illinois University Edwardsville student-athletes have been named Academic All-Conference by the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) for the 2003-2004 academic year. To qualify for the honor a student-athlete must be a freshman or first-year transfer who attained a grade point average of 3.40 or higher during the fall semester. For a returning student-athlete, one qualifies for the honor if he or she has earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or has attained a grade point average of at least 3.40 in each of the preceding two semesters.
