SIUE Basketball Pen Pals Join Cougars Saturday
More than 90 students from Edwardsville Woodland Elementary School have been invited to attend Saturday's Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's and men's basketball games just because they're being a pal. The students are participating in a Pen Pal program with SIUE student-athletes from the men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball, men's cross country, women's cross country, men's track and field, women's track and field, golf and wrestling teams. The Pen Pal program, coordinated by the SIUE Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), is in its third year at SIUE. It is one of the several community service programs that SAAC is involved in. |
