I graduated in '99 with a Bachelor's in Anthropology. My seniorproject involved researching Trance Possession in Bali, and was conducted under the supervision of Nancy Lutz (tell her I said hi!).
I then worked for
ITARP's American Bottom Survey Division until late 2000, when I transferred
to the Western Illinois Survey Division.
In 2003, I returned to SIUE to work on a Master's of Science in Geography (with a specialization in GIS and
Historical Geography), which I completed in 2005.
My Thesis was "A Cultural Landscape Analysis of the Edwardsville Shale Pit: A Retrospective Approach".
Bill Woods was my mentor, and it was a lot of fun to research.
I also went
with Bill and some other Geography students to a field school in Belgium,
where we dug at an 11th century castle.
I have since returned to ITARP's
ABSD with a supervisory position. Hope this is enough! Tell Dallas Brown I
said hello too!
