I graduated in August, 2000, with a B.S. in Anthropology specializing in archaeology.  My senior project, in conjunction with the Undergraduate Research Academy, was to identify the Woodland and Mississippian faunal components of an area of the Olin archaeological site in Wood River.  Dr. Sidney Denny was my mentor on this project.  I attended SIUE's archaeology field school on the Eastern Shore of Virginia with Dr. Matt Emerson in 1998.

I am currently very busy working full-time at the Center for American Archeology (not a misspelling!) in Kampsville, IL, as the collections manager and an educator. Yes, I actually get paid to make baskets,cordage,ceramics, and to flintknap.

 I taught two semesters of World Regional Geography at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey last year and loved doing it, but job constraints prevented me from doing it this year. 

.Along with working at the CAA, I am a graduate student at SIUE in the Geography Department specializing in physical geography, although logistical problems have kept me out of classes for awhile.  Got to get back to that, I am only 3 classes from finishing!  I am also starting work on a Masters of Arts in Education on-line.  It's difficult to get to campus as I live and work in a very (VERY) rural area and it's a long drive to anywhere!
