SIUE golf team adds four players

The SIUE women's golf program has added four players for the 2000-2001 season.

Katie Farrell, Kristie Novak, Beth Gumble and Ashley Collum have signed national letters of intent to play for the Lady Cougars beginning next season.

Farrell, of Princeton, played four years of golf at Princeton High School. She finished 27th in the state her senior year.

Novak, of Highland, was the Lady Bulldogs' No. 1 player and was first team All-Metro in her senior year.

Gumble played for Mahomet Seymour High School the past few years. Collum, of Iuka, played for four seasons at Salem High School.

The only two members on this year's squad for SIUE were Spring Riley and Sarah Williams.
