Plans for MUC renovation will be revealed

Design plans for the Morris University Center renovation will be presented at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Maple/Dogwood rooms of the MUC.

The renovations include improved eating facilities, a new computer lab and improvements to the MUC recreational center and Union Station.

Construction will begin in December. The face lift is costing students $45 beginning in the summer semester.

The renovations, expected to be completed in spring 2003, were approved in a student referendum last April. The SIU board of trustees approved the plans in May.
