The SIUE student government would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to the 2000-01 school year. We hope you all had a great summer and wish you good luck in the upcoming year. Also at this time, for those who many not be aware, we would like to briefly explain just how important student government is. The officers, senators and committee members that make up the student government provide a great service to the rest of the school. They provide a voice for the student body regarding the development of university policies that affect virtually every aspect of life at SIUE. Additionally, the student government sponsors many events and works with other student organizations to provide activities that make campus life more enjoyable for everyone. If you want to get involved with student government or simply want to learn more about what we do, you are welcome to visit our office in the Kimmel Leadership Center, which is located in the Morris University Center.
