Philosophy

The SIUE Philosophy Society is a great way to meet neat people and explore and discuss philosophy!

This year we are planning a variety of events and presentations by area philosophers. In October, Swami Chetanananda of the Vedanta Society of St. Louis will speak on "Vedanta: A Universal Philosophy."

Also during the fall semester, Dr. Sue Cataldi and Dr. Robert Ware of the SIUE philosophy department will meet with us to discuss their recent interests and projects.

We will be viewing and discussing a documentary film on Simone de Beauvoir, presented by Dr. Margaret Simons, as well as "The Matrix," presented by Dr. William Hamrick, and "Groundhog Day," presented by Dr. Judith Crane.

And look forward to our end-of-semester potluck! Anyone is welcome to join us! Just look for posters, e-mail us at ousia@mail.com or check our Web site - http://www.siue.edu/PHILOSOPHY/philsoc.htm....
