Write a paper on one of the following topics.  For length and due date, consult the syllabus.  Make sure you addres the topic.
A word of advice: in order to write a successful paper, you need to study (i.e., read and think about) the relevant readings.

1) A common criticism of Utilitarianism is that it adopts the view that the end justifies the means (EJM). First explain when adopting EJM presents moral concerns. Second, assess whether the criticism is fair and how a utilitarian could reply.

2) Using the material discussed in the course, state and defend your view on whether suicide is morally permissible. Make sure you make precise reference to the texts we used.
